Meet the everyday heroes making lives better

Even (or perhaps especially) in the most difficult times, there are those who go above and beyond for the people they love, for strangers or for society as a whole. To help celebrate and support these amazing folks, we asked our community to nominate their everyday heroes, and whoa, were we inundated with incredible nominations! We chose one nominee every day for a month, and treated them to some Bellroy gear, as our way of saying thanks.

“Doctor, father, hockey coach – he does it all. When I moved away he sent me a care package to make sure that if me or my housemates got sick, we would know how to seek help.”

“Grant is part of the store management team at Woolworths. He walked to a few customers' houses, delivering meat they had been searching for, that he purchased himself.”

“During the panic of COVID, Akhil has, as a medical student, been working 60+ hours a week, without pay or praise. He still found time to make me a birthday cake.”

“Oz is a teacher with an infant, staying at home but making sure over 150 kids at home are having fun, and reminding them there’s still magic in the world.”

These are just a few of the incredible stories of kindness, sacrifice and goodwill that we received. Each and every one has inspired us, warmed our hearts and reminded us that, when it comes to everyday heroes, they wear all kinds of capes!
